Planning: Producing A Storyboard For Your Opening


A storyboard is a graphic representation of how your video will unfold, shot by shot, and enables you to visualise what you are creating. It lets directors to see what angle, perspective and balance to create the shot that they want and also enables them to take shot, movement and location into consideration. As well as this it gives the director and casting a sense of movement and ensures everyone knows what's going to happen next.

We created storyboards for our opening scene:




By creating storyboards it has helped us picture what our final product will look like. It has also gave us a greater understanding in how we would devise each shot and also made us think about the placement of the titles.
